Top Four (4) Myths About Solar Panels!
Over the past few years, the demand for solar panels has increased around the country. As their price continues to drop, they have become a popular investment for everyone. With the rise in global warming, every citizen is becoming very conscious about the environment, thus adapting to renewable sources of energy. People are understanding their responsibility as citizens and transitioning from fossil fueled electricity to a more green and clean source of electricity. Though there is a lot of support from the government in terms of solar development, rumours have still managed to influence a lot of people. Let’s debunk some myths which prevent people from embracing this environmentally friendly energy source.
1. Solar panels only work in particular climates
Cold temperatures actually improve the performance of solar panels during the winter daylight. It is true that the output is somewhat lower in the winter but solar panels still produce significant power. Infact, their efficiency is higher in winters than in summers. The reason behind this is because PV systems generate electricity from sunlight and not heat. Also, when the panels get too hot, they produce less power.
2. Solar panels systems require a lot of maintenance
Solar panels do last for a long time and are protected with warranty too. For cleaning purposes, very minimal maintenance is required. Solar power systems without the batteries with lead acid actually require very less maintenance.
3. Solar panels cost too much
It was years ago that solar energy was heavy on the pocket. The cost of installing solar panels has reduced drastically in recent years. They are much more affordable now than they have ever been, with the benefits outweighing the costs. For a home with solar panels, the monthly electricity bill can be reduced by 70%.
4. Solar panels damage the roof
Solar panels are not directly connected to roof tiles but are mounted to the roof. Once you install solar panels, your roof is protected. They shield the portion of the roof which they cover from extreme weather conditions.
Solar panel battery companies in India follow the best practices for the installation of solar panels. One of which is Energenic batteries, the best battery brand in India. They deal in lithium batteries, solar batteries and EV batteries too.
